Won here in August of 95 in the same grade and now runs off 96 and has the plum draw in 1 and I think he has a big chance. I was with him at Newbury as well.
14.35pm – DEEPONE (11/1 generally)
0.25 POINTS WIN
He hasn’t been seen since the Ballysax Stakes in 2024, where he finished fourth, but connections clearly think a bit of him to have run him in that event, and was only five lengths behind Illinois, who won yesterday’s Ormonde Stakes. I think this Group 2 winner has been overlooked.
3:05pm – LEINSTER (7/2 generally, 5 places)
0.5 POINTS E/W
Lightly raced 4 year old, who won a handicap at the Curragh last time out very easily. Ryan Moore is booked, which is always a plus, and it’s interesting Joseph O’Brien has one at the top of the weights (Dawn Rising). Off a low weight, he could be anything, and should go close.
Ascot
13.50pm – COLUMNIST (20/1 generally)
0.25 POINTS E/W
Third in the Coventry last season and was then fourth in a Group 2 event. He has to give weight to all, but back in a class 2 handicap, I think he could run well.
