WARDA JAMILA (NAP) looks very interesting to me on tapeta debut at double-digits. Andrew Balding’s filly hasn’t been seen since finishing sixth of 13 in a much stronger race at Epsom on Oaks day.
She turns to this lower grade off a 2lb lower mark and the last time she ran at his level, she scored at Haydock off only a 3lb lower figure.
I thought she did well to win that event considering she was denied a clear passage and the form has subsequently been advertised by a few of those she had in behind.
Connections bypassed Royal Ascot with her this year, presumably in favour of this event, and being drawn well in stall five, she looks capable of being heavily competitive if taking to the surface.
