15.55 Ludlow – IDY WOOD (15/8 generally)

Rock House is interesting on his chase debut, but he hasn’t always looked straightforward and will do well to get the better of IDY WOOD (NAP) at this level.
Jamie Snowden’s charge has form figures of 11211 from five starts in this grade, with his only defeat coming when a neck second to the 132+ rated Cracking Rhapsody, who won the Morebattle Hurdle on his penultimate start.
He hasn’t been at his best the last three times but he’s dropped in class and his record on genuine good ground reads three wins from three starts.
The ground and the return to this trip is sure to be in his favour, as well as his stable being in ridiculously good form (six consecutive winners at the time of writing).
With this in mind, the top weight is fancied to continue his handlers excellent run of form and extend his fine statistics in this grade.
16.53 Sedgefield – INFERNO SACREE (11/2 generally)
1 POINT WIN
Plenty of these to consider, with a chance taken on Nigel Hawke’s INFERNO SACREE, who is 9lb below his last winning mark. He could take a bit of catching if allowed to dictate and is 4lb better off with Tellhimlisten, who was in front of him over a longer trip last time out.
Even if that isn’t the case and gets pestered throughout, he’s very effective going left-handed and conditions will suit him. His latest second to a thriving sort was another solid effort in defeat, so off an unchanged mark, he offers fair value to potentially succeed.
